Why we built GroBaz
Caption tools weren't made for us.
I'm a developer from Pakistan. Every captioning tool I tried was clearly built for English first. Urdu came out garbled, the right-to-left text was a mess, and Roman Urdu — the way most of us actually write — wasn't an option at all. Hinglish got “corrected” into words nobody said.
So I built the tool I wanted: captions that treat our languages as the main event, not an afterthought. It's early, it's focused on doing one thing well, and I keep improving it.

Questions, answered
Which languages are supported?
Fully supported today: Urdu, English, Hindi, Nepali, Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi, Telugu, Sindhi, Marathi, Kannada, Pashto, Malay, Assamese, Persian, Arabic and Odia. Roman Urdu and Hinglish give you Urdu or Hindi speech written in Roman letters, the way people actually type. Other languages (Tamil and Malayalam) are in testing: you can already try them in the app, where they're marked Beta, but their export quality isn't guaranteed yet.
How accurate are the captions?
Very accurate on clear speech, including Urdu, Roman Urdu and Hinglish — where many tools struggle. Like any speech recognition, background music, noise and several people talking at once lower accuracy — which is why every word is editable before you export.
What are the file size and length limits?
Upload MP4 or MOV files up to 500 MB. How long a video can be depends on your plan: 2 minutes on Free, 10 minutes on Creator and 20 minutes on Studio.
Can I edit the captions?
Yes, all of them. Fix any word in the transcript, split or merge caption lines, choose how many words appear at once, and restyle everything — font, colors, stroke, shadow, glow, position and animation.
What can I export?
An MP4 with the captions burned into the video, ready to post — or SRT and VTT subtitle files to upload to YouTube or use in other video editors.
Does it work for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube?
Yes. Built-in safe-zone guides for Instagram Reels, Instagram Story, Instagram Feed, TikTok and YouTube Shorts show where each app puts its buttons, so your captions stay visible. Burned-in MP4s work everywhere, and SRT/VTT files work for YouTube.
